Silly Girl

I found these headbands to keep Briella's hair out of her face. She wasn't a big fan when I put one on yesterday, but this morning after her bath, she gladly put one on herself. It is so handy that she can take care of herself this way ;)

In other news she has been wearing underwear for a week and averages one accident a day, so we're pretty excited about that (the dryness not the accident).
Briella also enjoys saying her ABC's. It goes like this: "A B C D E G H caterpillar Q S T U W Y Z know my ABCs caterpillar sing with me." I'm a little suspicious that the whole caterpillar came from this:

The Awesomest Diaper Bag Ever

I can hardly believe it myself, but this adorable diaper bag that fits everything I want and more, includes a custom cell phone pocket and more love, sweat, and tears than I can describe. While caring for our six children, my sister, Mindy, and I each made our very own diaper bag!! WOW! It was quite ambitious for this ametuer sewer, but Mindy is more experienced and helped me out a ton. THANK YOU MINDY!! Also thanks for those who lent me sewing machines :)

Look at all these pockets!! and the space!!More pockets on the other side, still adorable . . .

Devotions

My goal for 2010 is to read through the entire Bible again for my personal devotions. I recently read Shopping for Time written by Carolyn Mahaney and her daughters, a very practical, yet enjoyable book. (They are the girls of Girltalk an excellent blog to check out.) Anyway, in the book they mention a cool website where you can print reading schedules for your own devotions, so you can check it out and print one for yourself here. (I'm trying the chronological plan) Another cool thing from Shopping for Time that I am implementing is after reading a scripture passage, answer two questions (I'm paraphrasing with my own twist):
1--What does this passage reveal about God?
2--How does this revelation about God impact my faith and life?
My plan is to write out my responses along with the passages and my list of prayer requests. Personal devotions are so important, yet I find that without a plan in place, it is difficult to be consistent. I guess I'm sharing this to keep myself accountable, to encourage others to grow in this area, and also to see if there are other ideas you'd like to share . . .
Happy 2010!
