The forecast for this past weekend was gorgeous, so we decided to go camping Friday night for practice. We will be spending a week in August camping in a pop up, but wanted to go with the kids for our own 'understanding' and to let them have a fun time too. We found a place about 20 minutes from our house with a little pond for swimming. The weather was wonderful, the campground quiet and clean, and the kids loved it! Well, accept Asher, he wasn't a fan of being in his stroller a lot or sleeping in the pack N play in a well lit area or the cold water(see below).
Gideon and Briella were reintroduced to the deliciousness of s'mores :)
Asher did enjoy the swing at the playground, if you didn't believe his record breaking teeth feel free to zoom in on this picture!
We also fed fish with some bread and saw 100's of tadpoles in the pond. It was a lot of fun, especially for the kiddos :) I have been camping several times, mostly in my single days where camping was about active & adventurous days, relaxing evenings, and taking turns with meals . . . camping with three kids kind of mixes those up so that the nights are active and 'adventurous,' the meals are a tag team marathon, and the relaxing is optional for adults. Overall we enjoyed the day away and of course the kids are already asking when we can go camping again!!
